Accountability is a value that can be defined as one of the ethical basics of freedom. It should be practiced in all walks of life, from our school to our homes, in every situation that we face.
We, as students, need to learn to be accountable for our actions. One of the most recent problems that we are faced with is students leaving their disposable plastic water bottles behind in school at the end of the day, even though they are more than half-filled with water.
But do we take accountability for that?
No, we don’t.
This problem can have major consequences. We are wasting one of Mother Earth’s most precious resources, water.
Do we really want to ignore accountability and walk down the dark road of indifference?
If not, then it is high time that we students start taking up responsibilities for the sake of our environment, and for the sake of our behavioral development. Only by being accountable for our every action can we truly hope to succeed in life.
